Using a garden rake, move the dirt around then sprinkle the seeds/petals in that area. Rake again to cover with shallow dirt. Planting in May will provide you with blooms from July-October.
Also known as Spider Flower, this unique plant can grow up to 4-5 feet tall and produces a multitude of seeds. Each plant has a large blossom with delicate pink and white petals. It doesn’t last long as a cut flower but will be around for months in your garden. Cleome reseeds very easily (almost too easily!) so you’ll have plenty of flowers the next year if you let Nature run its course. These bloom from early summer through late autumn.
