As I age, I find that in spite of my best efforts, my body just doesn’t heal as quickly as it used to. I even feel the leftover effects of falls or injuries or surgeries I’ve had in years past. My colleague at work would say, “Ain’t nobody got time for that!” And she would be right!
This morning, as I engaged in my yoga I felt called to lie face down on the mat. The word “healing” came to me, and I began to chant the mantra below. As I did so, I realized that healing is a bit like self-care: many times, we are better at helping others do it than applying it to ourselves.
This weekend, may you take the time to nurture your body, mind, and spirit. ~cameron
Let healing wash over me.
Let healing begin with me.
