Instructions for living a life.

Pay attention.
Be astonished.
Tell about it.
~Mary Oliver

Over the weekend, I had the joy of experiencing one of my favorite hallmarks of autumn–a flock of Canadian geese squawking over my house as they migrated southward.  Every year, there is something about that noise that stops me in my tracks and fills me with delight–my favorite season has arrived!

Some refer to a calendar, others to weather changes, but I wait for those birds to grace the sky in their uniform “V” to lands that will warm their bones for the winter months.  While I have lived more than 40 years, I never ignore their call to look skyward and stand in awe of their journey.
